How To Create Your Own Photoshop Brushes

This walk-through/tutorial is meant as a reference for future tutorials I'll be creating. I'll be showing you how to make your own Photoshop brushes in the future, including types of abstract, waves, and different grunge styles, so your artwork isn't dependent on brushes made by other people. This particular tutorial pertains to sharing the brushes after you've completed them - if you'd like, of course.

Specifically, I'll cover the following:

• Defining the brush you created
• Saving your brush set
• Sharing/distributing your brush set

Having your own brushes will give your work exclusivity and originality. Two desirable traits.

7 Star Burst Brushes (Photoshop Brushes)

High resolution traditional star brushes. They include 6 star bursts that I made up myself and then 1 large
star so you can make your own.

10 subtle scratchy and grainy/dusty brushes. They are grungy too. Cool for subtle photo touch-ups and making that old school "Grainy Film" look.

11 Angle Wheels (Photoshop Brushes)

This set includes 11 FULL 360 degree wheels, inspired by Japan's Rising Sun flag.
They are at maximum height (1600px) so they could be considered High Resolution
as well.

I'll still put out 2 brushes this Thanksgiving week and I hopefully have something else in
store for you.

14 Lined Waves (Photoshop Brushes)

14 lined brushes formed into a wave style. They're at a 3 pt stroke and look good with a look glow effect or blur.

4 High Resolution Grids (Photoshop Brushes)

4 grid types that are 2500 x 1600. These will be useful and quick for designs that include the grid pattern. They won't take much space in your brushes palette either.

Now you don't have to sit there at your chair for 30 minutes making grids yourself.
